So with the launch of the new shifted site we will be following the progress of Joey DiApice and his Evo 9 so here we go with his first post...
I decided to go race with a different Region autocross group for a variety on my competition. Triad is located about 1.5 hours north of Charlotte in the Winston Salem / Greensboro area. They were hosting an event at the Dixie Fairgrounds which I had never raced at but heard it was a fun time. So I gave it a shot.
This event to me was 2 fold, trying out new competition and seeing how the car felt with the rear endlinks attached. Needless to say I am so happy now that the endlinks are on the car. Truly night and day difference. We did have a brake failure at the end of the day. The pedal got super soft and we could press it to the floor without the car stopping. It was an interesting 1.5 Hr drive home since I don't have a trailer for the car.
Well in short the event was awesome. Awesome weather, good competition and the car felt great! I placed 1st in Street Modified, 3rd in Pax out of 100+ cars, had the 8th fastest lap time with 5 karts in the field and 2 mods.
